Natures Powerhouse

I wanted to find somewhere different to stay when we were traveling this summer and I just found it. I had always wanted to stay at a bed and breakfast but there were never any on our usually route, but this time I am making my husband go a different way. I search Galena hotels on the internet and found the Galena bed and breakfast. It only takes us about forty minutes out of our way and I can just tell that it will be worth the extra drive.

I called the Galena bed and breakfast to insure that they did indeed have a room for the night that we would be there and they did, so I paid for it up front. I do not want to lose it to someone else, by not securing it properly.

My husband is not too thrilled with the thought of staying at a bed and breakfast, but he really has no choice. I have stayed in all of those other types of hotel and motels for him and this year, I am changing things. If he really does not like it, then he can search the Galena hotels and stay somewhere else, while I stay at the bed and breakfast. I am so excited to go in a few months.

When my parents told me that they would be getting new storm doors, I thought that they would be like anybody else’s, aluminum or vinyl. The storm doors that they picked out were iron storm doors. They are so heavy and they have these big bars going across them. The lock on them is like a dead bolt, it takes a lot to open and close them, so that alone is a great security feature.

I knew that my parents were always partial to wrought iron doors before but never thought that they would put that kind of storm door up. I like the decoration that is in the middle of it and I am truly considering going to the company that they ordered these from and seeing how much it would cost to put these on my house. I do not want main wrought iron doors but the storm doors would be nice.

If increasing curb appeal and security are both going to be had by installing these new doors, then I am all for it. I will have to make sure to keep the cost on the low end and see if my husband thinks he can install them or not. If I have to pay for installation, that will also cut into the amount that I can pay for them.

There were only two things left to do on my list for the day and both of them involved contractors. I had decided to do some upgrading to my house and needed to get some estimates to see if I could afford to do it all right now.

My first call was to a flooring store Raleigh NC company that I was told had some great prices and a good selection of flooring. I set up a time for one of their salesman to come to my home and give me an estimate of what it would cost to put in some new flooring in the foyer, the laundry room and the kitchen. The bathrooms had been done right before I bought the house, so they were fine.

I then contacted a paint supplier Raleigh company, to see if they could tell me how much it would cost for the paint for the kitchen. I gave them the room size and since I planned on doing all the work myself, that was all that I needed from them. The paint supplier Raleigh company gave me three different prices. They gave me prices for three different brands and grades of paint. I knew that I would not be purchasing the cheapest paint, or the highest priced paint. I would go for the one in the middle.

As soon as the flooring store Raleigh NC company gives me my flooring estimate, I can move forward. The paint is much less than what I thought it would be, so I should be able to afford the flooring with no problem.
