How many times you have been rudely interrupted by the compare announcing that it is time for a commercial break and the next part of the program shall be on air only after the ad or commercial is over? All said and done it is never a pleasant experience to be interrupted in this manner whether your are listening to the traditional radio set in your drawing or living room or one of the radio stations on the internet

There are listeners who shrug off such inconveniences with an apathetic attitude.  But there are also others who do not like to leave the matter as such and become vocal and some of them even go to the extent of expressing their discontentment over the media and on the listeners’ forum. Add to this the organizations who posing as social crusaders fight against the attitude of the broadcasting agencies and even come up with Public Interest Litigations. Listeners even resent the interruptions that occur in their listening to free online music though they may not have come from a free internet radio station.

Another inconvenience with the traditional radio station was that the contents are heavily censored with promoters and advertisers taking an upper hand. However, this is not the case with the free radio stations where the intervention is near null.

So it is time to shun commercial radio and get rid of announcements like “time for commercial break – program continues after the break.”
