My boyfriend has quite a collection of cheap t shirts that he got from the local thrift shop. I can buy him expensive funny t shirts from the t shirt store in the mall and no one says anything about them. As soon as he throws on one of those old cheap t shirts from that thrift shop, people tell him how much they love his shirt.

It is really frustrating to me, and he of course just usually laughs it off. He always tells me that he likes my funny t shirts the best but I know that he is lying. He hardly ever wears them and when he does, it is usually because I ask him to. If he is going out with his friends then he almost always pulls out one of the cheap t shirts to wear.

I am not sure why it matters so much to me, maybe just because I never have worn anything that was worn by someone else. I think it is gross, and he does it all the time and people love it. How can a brand new sparkly t shirt not be better than an old beat up cheap thing that was worn by who knows how many other people?
