I was trying to figure out how many bays I would need in my pseries servers. My boss thinks that we need at least five and I think we should have six. The depth is very important also, because of the space that it needs to fit into. I had built a small closet type space for it above the break room.

We used to have the iseries servers and just recently made a decision to switch. With the iseries servers, we only had three bays but are looking to expand and hence the reason for more bays. I think that I will just go ahead and do the six bays since I am the one who is installing it anyway. My boss will never know, since he will probably never see it anyway.

After replacing the iseries servers with the pseries servers, my boss told me that he had thought a little more about it, and we probably should have gone with the six bays. When I told him that I had gone ahead and already installed one with six, he was upset and happy with me at the same time. He was a little glad that I had not listened to him. I of course, know that I probably dodged a real bullet with him this time.
